15th ASEAN-BAC JBCs Meeting

The Russia-ASEAN Business Council participated in the 15th ASEAN Business Advisory Council Joint Business Councils’ meeting via videoconference on May 15, 2020.
The event was attended by over 80 representatives from the ASEAN BAC Secretariat, ASEAN Business Club, ASEAN Secretariat, ASEAN BAC Joint business councils as well as representatives of ASEAN sectoral champions.
The Government and private sector’s measures to respond the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as measures to restore business activity and sustainable economic growth were discussed.
The ASEAN-Russia Business Council informed the participants on Russia’s response to support business and citizens and presented proposals for further development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between business community of Russia and ASEAN Member States.
Following the meeting a Joint Statement was prepared with the suggestions and recommendations for restoring business activity. The Joint Statement was sent to the ASEAN Secretary General and the ASEAN Economic Ministers.
