Russia-ASEAN Business Council was established by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation in 1998.
The Russian-ASEAN Business Council consists of more than 50 Russian major companies and banks, provides practical assistance to Russian entrepreneurs and business in the development of multi-vector trade, economic and investment cooperation of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations.
The Russia-ASEAN Business Council is implementing a project-based approach for the further development of economic cooperation. The Russia-ASEAN Business Council’s Project Office coordinates the expertise, resources and initiatives of the business community for the joint implementation of trade, investment and innovation projects.
The Russia-ASEAN Business Council is one of the mechanisms of the ASEAN-Russia Dialogue Partnership.
The partner organizations of the ASEAN-Russia Business Council are the ASEAN Business Advisory Council with a secretariat in Jakarta (Indonesia) and the ASEAN Business Club with headquarters in Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia). The Business Council also established interaction with the ASEAN Moscow Committee (ambassadors of ASEAN countries accredited in Russia) and regional and industry business associations of ASEAN countries.
